Mother's Day at FBC Preschool

Abby's teachers invited all the mommies to come to school from 9-9:30 so our kids could give us our Mother's Day gifts. They had muffins, fruit and juice for us and our presents were wrapped and waiting for us on the tables. The kids sang a few songs and we prayed for our food. Abby gets really shy and doesn't like to participate in these kinds of things. She just put her face in my lap while the kids were all doing hand motions and dancing. whatever.

She's pretty excited to give me my gift!
Angie went into work late just so she could be there. The four of us sat together :)
The kids painted these darling jewelry boxes. Abby was so proud of it, it was really cute.
They also put a ring pop inside but Abby snagged that in 2 seconds! The picture looked old fashioned and the girls wore a big straw hat in them. Super cute! I love it!

I also got a card with her handprint on the front. Inside was a fill-in the blank page. These were the questions:

My mommy's name is Rose
What does she do? she pays some bills
The best thing she cooks is broccoli
What do you think she's like for a present? a flower
My mommy is special because she loves me

Then she signed her own name, which is such a work in progress. Bless her little heart.
