Jack Learns to Ride a Bike!

FINALLY!!!! After years of prodding, Jack just decided on his own one Thursday he wanted to learn to ride his bike. Yay for finally wanting to achieve this milestone! He's had a bike for 2 years and has had zero interest in learning to ride it.

It only took him a few tries of me holding his seat and him telling me to let go. He was off and rolling in no time! It was so exciting!!

His little trick was to start at the top of our driveway and ride to the top of the neighbors on the corner driveway. He did that over and over.

He was SO proud of himself!

Notice the lack of shoes? Only Jack!

Abby was riding around on her tricycle trying to stay out of the way. She wants to learn too. Good thing Jack learned first or that would have been embarrassing!

Yes the bike is a little small for him, but it was easy for him to balance himself and to stop easily by just putting his feet down. Plus he's grown significantly in the last 2 years!

 This is my dream come true! Abby hopped on the tandem with me and the three of us went around the block within 30 minutes of Jack learning. He still needs to build up the stamina to go any kind of distance but it's a start!

We couldn't wait to for daddy to get home so Jack could show him! I sent him a text to tell him the good news and he was as shocked as me!

I guess if you wait long enough it's just that much easier to learn!
