Outside my window...beautiful, warm sunshine-in January! I LOVE California!
I am thinking...a lot. About my kids and school. I've been up for hours. Awoken by a headache at 4am and thinking ever since! Frustrated with Abby and her academic struggles, and frustrated with Jack's teacher and his dislike of reading, writing and school in general :(
I am thankful for...so much. Perspective is everything.
From the kitchen...left over breakfast remnants. Eggo waffles and syrupy plates.
I am wearing...a cozy black fleece sweatshirt and comfy khakis with an elastic band! oh and my Uggs.
all day.every day.
I am creating...photo albums. My big project of getting pics out of shoe boxes! Just slide the pic in not the full on scrapbook style that I used to love.
I am going...stir crazy! Feeling like I want to get out of town!
I am reading...lots of blogs. About Haiti and the anniversary of the earthquake. I'm kind of obsessed.
I am hoping...to be a better parent. For real. It's a goal of mine this year.
I am hearing...instrumental music thanks to Pandora Radio. And not much else. The house is very quiet. So nice.
Around the house...laundry to be folded and bathrooms to be cleaned. bleck.
One of my favorite things...is a fire in the fireplace. Got to enjoy that last night while Jack and I watched the first Harry Potter movie together. Had to bone up for a HP birthday party this weekend.
A few plans for the rest of the week...Costco and a haircut for Abby today. Melissa's birthday dinner tonight, lotsa football tomorrow (it's playoff time with the Niners and the Bronco's!) church and Jonah's party on Sunday and something fun on Monday since it's MLK Day. Maybe the Jelly Belly Factory. Or the zoo. Or a trip to Nana's house.
What's a blog post without a picture?! Just a typical sunset witnessed from our local park.
I like this!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are doing this!
ReplyDeleteLove that you got the idea from Sus!
Love that it gives me a little glimpse into your heart and mind!
Love that you and Jack watched Harry Potter to get ready for the party! (:
You are an awesome parent - lavished completely in God's grace. Don't forget that.
I'm so sorry about all of the hard school stuff. ):
Miss you.
