Happy Easter

Easter Sunday was a busy day at our house! The kids and I had just flown in from WA the night before and we were hosting a potluck Easter dinner for 19 people! I had to make a pretzel salad late Saturday night because it has to gel overnight. No worries-it's worth it! Our morning had Eric in the kitchen getting the ham in the oven and peeling potatoes for his famous cheesy mashed potato dish (yummmmm) and me setting the table and getting the kids ready in their Sunday best! Kind of a rare occasion since our church is pretty casual.

But of course it all began with their Easter baskets early in the morning!
Jack was up before Abby so he posed for me and then we let him dig in! He was most excited about getting a Zhu Zhu pet.
He also got a kite, SkipBo cards, Star Wars undies, an Easter DVD and candy of course!
Abby technically got up before Jack but went back to sleep in the big comfy brown chair!
When she woke up she knew just what to do. She went straight for the Barbie!
Jack was cute to help Abby with her new bird whistle. She was kind of out of it at first.
Besides her chocolate bunny she also got a kite, princess undies, new paints, and a Zhu Zhu pet!
Moving on to church...here's Jack and his buddy Colin in their Sunday School class
Abby and Clare right before the Egg Hunt

They sectioned off the eggs for older kids and younger kids so I only got one picture of Jack!
It was VERY windy and cold but they were happy kiddos with full bags of eggs!
Daddy and his girl
We rushed home so we could get there before all our company. Dee took pictures of each family unit and I'm so glad she did!
My sister and her family including the newest addition, baby Lily!
The Gallardo's
The Sheridan's
We're missing a family pic of the Smiths :( Darby slept the whole time and they left before we took these. (so sad) My mom was there also but left shortly after dinner so I have no proof. Sorry Nana! I totally meant to get a picture of us all when we sat down to eat but I forgot!

Here's the kids right before our indoor egg hunt. It started to rain after dinner so we had to hide over 200 eggs in our living room and entry way!
Jen Jen got creative and even hid an egg in Uncle Todd's pants pocket! Abby found it!
Here's the kids with their full baskets and ready to trade their loot with each other!
Each family shared the job of filling the eggs and let me just say, those kids made out!
It was great to have family and friends together under one roof! Or as I like to call them, our village :)
