Jack received another award for effort.
I love this picture. He's so proud. Even Grampy and Grammy were there in the very back to see him receive his award, then they scooted out right after to head back to WA. Abby, daddy and I are getting used to all these assemblies :)

All in all he had a great school year. Making lots and lots of progress in reading and doing really well with math and spelling. His report card looked like this:
Reading-B-
Writing-C+
Math-A
Spelling-A
Science-A
History-A
When he saw he got a C+ in writing he said, "that is NOT good." The whole idea of receiving grades this early seems silly to me but we're proud of all the hard work he's done. Now we have a big 2nd grader in the house!
