When the boys and girls split up we went straight to the Princess Fantasy Faire. On the agenda:
1. meet some princesses and get autographs
2. story time with a princess
3. Royal Coronation
Right before the story time we took a quick pic of our own two princesses.
Princess Aurora was the storyteller for story time. We got there early and were seated right up front on the carpet circles. She told her own story of Sleeping Beauty. It was really sweet and the girls loved it!Rapunzel is the new Princess thanks to the movie Tangled. She has her own little house in Fantasyland. We waited for almost an hour to meet her and Flint. The girls did great in line. We kept commenting how much easier they are than the boys when it comes to waiting in long lines. Those boys have to swing and hang on the ropes, push and shove (which ends up involving strangers) and whine!
Here's Abby telling Rapunzel she has braids in her hair just like her!
Meeting Belle! She's the real deal! Makes the whole experience magical!
Meeting Jasmine was sort of underwhelming. She doesn't really talk to the girls like they are little princesses. That's what most of the others do.
Getting Ariel's autograph! The girls were pretty excited to meet her, she's one of their favorites!
I love that starfish on her head :)
We had to convince the girls to go and talk to Mulan. She doesn't wear a beautiful puffy ballgown so that may be why.
We had no idea what the Coronation was all about. I saved seats since they asked all the kids to come forward and our girls were being shy. Angie took them and I stayed back and took pictures. First they had some member of the royal court come out and teach the girls to curtsey and the boys to bow. Then they taught the girls how to wave properly. The girls weren't really into it. It was kind of lame.
Then the trumpet sounded and 3 princesses came down the stairs. It was Belle, Cinderella and Snow White!
They sang and danced
Then they had all the little kids come around the May Poles and take a strand. Our girls were not having it :(
Too bad because a princess went to each pole! Here's Cinderella at ours!
They went back on stage for a little bit and then it was over. But they said we could meet them shortly! Yay!
Turns out the lines were so long we had to pick just one. So we picked Snow white of course! She and Abby were chatting about her apple outfit and how appropriate that was :)
We LOVE Snow White!
