Disneyland with the DePacos Day 1

We had been planning this trip for a long time! Ellie wanted to celebrate her 5th birthday in Disneyland instead of a party at home (smart girl). We were happy to join them since the two little besties are joined at the hip and we love their whole family! We headed out Sat night after Eric got off work and were ready to tackle the park on Sunday. Despite the rainy forecast we got 3-Day Park Hopper tickets and were ready for an adventure!

Since it was Ellie's first time there AND her birthday, she chose all the rides. First things first! Dumbo!
Eric with the kids. It was sort of sprinkling so I chose to sit this one out.

 Could they be any cuter?!
Jack and I rode Peter Pan together. It was a treat for me because he always wanted to ride with Matt!

We hit all the best rides first since the lines were pretty short. StorybookLand was a must!
While everyone else went on the Matterhorn I took the girls on the teacups

Jack was begging to go on Thunder Mountain Railroad! We had been there for a few hours and he was chomping at the bit! The last time Matt had been to DLand he was 4 so all these rides were new to him too! He loved it as much as Jack!
We tried to get Abby to ride too but she wasn't having it. Since the lines were so short the boys turned around and got right back on!
 Best buddies
Our first characters of the day! Tigger was being silly and messed up Ellie's hair!
He did the same to Abby. Jack had no interest in any character pic's :( Abby and Ellie both got autograph books so they were really into the characters!
We split up several times to tackle different boy/girl stuff. Angie and the girls and I spent some time in the Princess Fantasy Faire but I'll save that for a post all it's own!
We only lasted till about 7pm and it just started pouring buckets! We got the heck out of there and grabbed dinner at the Shakey's Pizza next door to our hotel. The kids actually had lots of fun playing in the arcade while we had pizza and beer. Then it was off to bed so we could tackle another day in the Land!
