Nana decided after living in Elk Grove for a little over a year that it was time to move on. She wasn't happy in her apartment complex and wanted to move, but was having trouble finding another place she could actually afford. She wanted to find a job, but was unsuccessful, since our economy is in the tank right now. It didn't take long to decide to move back to Arkansas where Aunty Lisa and Brooke and Ashley are! Rent is cheaper there and hopefully the job market is better there too :)
After loading a 16ft truck and realizing it wasn't big enough, Nana ordered up a 24fter! She and Lisa practically loaded both trucks entirely with some help from Eric on the big and heavy stuff. It was
A LOT of work!
Here's Nana stopping by our house to pick up the stuff she had in our garage and backyard. That truck was so packed when she arrived that it was like putting together a puzzle! The kids had to come and be a couple of lookie lou's of course!
These two are some strong women! I did NOT get that gene.It was pouring rain that day and we were all soaked clear thru. Nana could be seen shouting at the sky and screaming, "Why God? Why?"
All done and locked up! Ready to hit the road and drive 1800 miles to Fayetteville, Arkansas! (after a quick change of clothes of course)
Here's Lisa's ride...
Here's Nana in her ride!
Amazingly she drove this big ol diesel truck across the country in rain and high winds. She would say it about killed her!
One last pic of mom and her 3 girls together
We will miss her but we know we'll be doing lots of video chatting via iChat. Safe travels...
