Memorial Day Kickball

I believe we have a new tradition! 

I put a shout out on Facebook, sent a few texts and bada boom bada bing! We had 5 families ready to BBQ and play a little kickball/baseball. It ended up being 3 buddies (Matthew, Trevor and Dylan) from Jack's soccer team last year and a friend of one of them that we didn't even know. It was so fun!! Trevor and Dylan were the captains. We all lined up grade school style and they picked their teams one by one. It was too funny! Took all of us adults right back to elementary school. Eric was picked last and wasn't too thrilled. He said he was a first round draft pick and they'd be sorry. LOL!

We had a few rules to go over before we started and then we were ready to play! It was really fun to have kids and adults on the same team. We played until the score was something like 15 to 7 and the adults could no longer sprint the bases. Then we BBQ'd some hot dogs and shared all of the side dishes we brought.

Everyone had a great time and kept thanking us for organizing the whole thing. We'll be doing it again soon I'm sure! Yay for summer being right around the corner!
