Student of the Month-May 2011

 Jack has earned the Student of the Month award this month for Trustworthiness. Jack shows that he is trustworthy when he tells the truth, even in the most difficult situations. It takes someone of exceptional character to be truthful even when it might be easier to blame others or risk getting in trouble. His honesty makes him someone we can turn to when we need to get the whole story. He takes his actions seriously and strives to be honest and truthful at all times. I know that I can trust Jack to make the right decisions both in class and on the playground. I also know that he is a good friend to others and that makes him someone his friends can trust. We have had many class discussions about the importance of trust and truth. Jack has earned to be honored for his trustworthy actions.

My favorite part of the whole letter is his teacher mentioning "he's a good friend to others." That's something we pray about each night. "A friend loves at all times." Prov. 17:17

Proud Aunty

Jack earned a playdate with Matthew after school. 

We were so proud to get the news that Jack was receiving an award and we had no idea what it was for. Student of the Month is a special award since only six kids get one each school year. The other five character traits are:

Jack received SOTM in Kindergarden for Trustworthiness too! Way to go Jack Jack! We're so proud of you!
