Camping Rollins Lake

Engleharts (Shawn, Heatherlee, Madison and Sophie), Goolds (Dean, Radora, Peja and Peyton), Sheridans (Tom, Melissa, Devin, Anthony, Lexi and Linzi) and Us! We headed up near Colfax for a long weekend of camping that we had been planning for months! It's hard to get four families on the same page but we did it!

The day before we left a huge wildfire broke out right near where we were camping. We saw the smoke on the drive up. It was on the other side of the freeway and we hardly noticed it at camp.

We let Jack invite a friend since all the kids are girls with the exception of Devin and Anthony who are 13 and 15 yrs old. It was a good call. Until Saturday when Jacob got homesick :(
The kids loved the creek that ran right thru our campsite! Crawdads and water beetles were hours of fun!

We spent two full days at the beach. The guys played Cornhole most of the time between dipping in the lake to cool off. A good game of catch was happening too-between the shore and the floatilla.

Beer pong was the evening game of choice. The boys had to have a turn of course and played with soda :) Not our finest parenting moment. Hopefully that doesn't haunt us years later!

This is Abby at the bottom of her sleeping bag at the foot of the tent! That girl is one crazy sleeper! The boys shared a two man tent and did great.

Jack and Jacob staying close to the fire so they can throw anything and everything in it! Ugh.

Notice the chairs in the water and the floatilla in the background? Perfect way to spend a day :)

We had so much fun all together it's going to be an annual event! We already booked the same campsites for the same week next year!
