August Thoughts

Outside my window...sunshine with a chill in the air.

I am thinking...alone time is good. The house is quiet and peaceful.

I am thankful for...my husband, who is camping with our kids this very minute and receiving the Dad of the Year Award!

From the kitchen...a full dishwasher that needs to be unloaded. That's about it.

I am wearing...pj's!

I am creating...blog posts! But now that I'm new to Pinterest I have lots of ideas of things to create!

I am going...to Oakland! The daddy's are camping with the kids so Jenni and I are headed to spend time with Kacie. We might get a little unpacking done too :)

I am reading...a book to Jack. Chicken Soup for the Kids Soul at night before bed. So far the first section is about kindness. It sparks up conversation which I love.

I am hoping...to go to Arkansas in November. It may have to wait till March :(

I am hearing...the pool filter and nothing else.

Around the house...Operation Organization! Now that I am kid free for 6 hours a day I have no excuse to not get organized! First stop is the kitchen corner/desk. I'm right in the middle of it!

One of my favorite things...my porch swing. I'll be honest, it's my favorite spot in the backyard! I have been known to take naps, read books, snuggle with my kids and have my quiet time there. It's so relaxing! 

A few plans for the rest of the week...Oakland, soccer practice, breakfast with a long lost friend, Oasis, a friends 40th surprsie party, dentist appt and the kids first soccer game of the season!
