Valentine's Day/100 Day Party

The last hour of school was Jack's Valentine Party. Kinda pathetic if you ask me. I remember the whole day being a party! They got to have heart cookies and juice and open all their Valentine's while watching a Franklin movie.

His teacher asked the parents to write love letters to our kids for them to open at the party. When I wrote Jack's I was totally crying. I've never written him a letter before. Between the 3 parents that were there and Ms. Van, we read each child their own. They LOVED them! They were all really sweet and meant a lot to each of them.

Here's Jack with his letter.
Here's a copy of the letter:

Dear Jack,

We want you to know first and foremost that we love you very very much. We love being your parents and we're so thankful for the gift that God gave us when He gave us you.

We couldn't believe how much joy such a little person could bring into our lives! When you were born we were so happy and we have had so much fun watching you grow up. You are a special boy with many gifts and talents.

We love how social you are and have always been. You were always a happy boy when the house was full of friends and family and sad when they all went home. You get that from mommy :)

That has made you a good friend to many. You have such a great personality. People like being around you because you have a great sense of humor and sweet caring heart. You get that from your daddy :)

You also have been the best big brother any little girl could hope for! Abby is so lucky to have you as a playmate, protector and friend for life. Everyone can see how much you love each other and that brings so much joy to our hearts.

We couldn't be more proud of you than we are today. You are doing so well in school and trying so hard at the things that don't come so easy. Just in the last few weeks your reading has improved a ton! We love hearing you read and can't believe our little boy is growing up right before our eyes!

When you received that Math award last week we were so happy for you. You were proud of yourself and we were 100 times prouder than you!

Always know that we love you more than anything. We know that you are going to do amazing things when you grow up and we will support you 100%. We love you as big as the sky little man.

love always,

mommy and daddy

Here I am reading it to him.
We were also celebrating the 1ooth Day of School! The kids had a home project to use 100 items and glue them to make something. We spelled 100 with Cherrios :)

Jack and I with our matching 100 Day shirts
Tracey and Darius with their matching shirts
Tracey had a shirt made for Ms. Van too
See the 100 Day projects? Jack's is on my right.
I love being able to see Jack interact with his friends and be a part of his school experience. Thank you honey for working so hard so I get to do things like this! I love you!
