Margaret and I took the 6 kids to the lake for the day. We packed shade umbrellas, chairs, a bunch of sand toys and lunch. It was a great day! It was just as good as going to the coast but without the long drive! Folsom is only about 45 minutes away!
There were lots of races into the water!
And a good ol fashioned sand castle contest!
It was Bethany against Robbie and the rest of the kids either didn't care (Jack & Ashley) or bounced back and forth from team to team (Brooke & Abby).
I was really surprised that Jack and Abby got totally in the lake and swam all around. They had their life vests on of course but just so unlike them! They're my little shoreline babies that are growing up!

All in all a super fun day with a promise to return soon! I should mention how much they begged to rent a raft or boat almost the entire time we were there! We didn't budge but I have a feeling we won't get out of that one twice!
side note: we got to see Mimi, Karri and Shayna since they live near the lake again and just happened to be headed there anyway! It had been a long time since we saw them all and I didn't even get a picture :( Good to catch up and get some hugs!
