u2 Concert

Ahhh the much anticipated u2 concert! We waited a whole year to finally go since Bono hurt his back and had to cancel our original date. But it was sure worth the wait!!!

Our Motley Crew, the Smiths, the Strattons and Erik and Pete Krenkel. Just outside Oakland Coliseum where they robbed us of $40 to park!
Under the CLAW!
My date. He was pretty reluctant to go since concerts aren't really his thing. But it was such a fun experience I know he's glad he went! We even ran into Sean and Kerry Curtis and Ross!

Lenny Kravitz opened for u2 after a really horrible band. Good thing he was there because they brought  that place down! He was great!
Sooooo our seats were pretty awesome! For some odd reason arriving at 5:30pm was plenty of time to get in the inner circle and boy were we lucky! At first I thought that was not something I wanted to do. I mean, it's SUPER crowded and personal space is out the window!

But then The Edge came out and everything was right in the world :)

This bridge that Bono and The Edge walked on, moved (hence 360* Tour) over our heads! It was awesome!
I loved when he picked up this green guitar! Such a fun moment :)
Favorite pic by far! Thanks Dee for making my pic's look even better!
My take on the concert:
1. General admission tickets are the bomb! Definitely going to to see them again and that's the only way I'm rolling!
2. u2 is one talented band! To see these guys who are SO good at their craft, is pretty amazing!
3. People who go to these concerts like to smoke pot and get drunk. I don't get that.
4. My FAVORITE song sung all night was Sunday Bloody Sunday. I just love how every instrument (including Bono's voice) is pure perfection in this tune!
5. Erik, Steve and Todd are hugs fans. It was fun to go with them.
6. Jen and Kacie are my girls! So fun to share that whole experience with them too!
7. There were many times I felt all alone in that venue singing my heart out. Oh I sang all the words I knew believe me!
8. I get it. I get all the hype and understand the craziness. The day after the concert I was on the computer finding out where they were going to be next, hoping to make it happen somehow. Next tour, I'm so there. In GenAdmin wearing my $40 u2 t-shirt that I bought at the 360* tour. I heart u2.

  1. My brother was a superfan, and attended 5 of their concerts! I hope one day I can make it to one and see what he was always nudging me to partake in...
