I got to watch the Merkel kids Friday afternoon and I took pics of them to send to Melis to show her they were doing ok. Will was completely happy in the dirt with a tractor and Ella was even happier when Abby got home from school and they could play!
Ella and Abby picking up where they left off!
Mama duck returned to lay her eggs in our backyard like last year, even though that spot is no longer overgrown and hidden. We'll see if she fares better this time. 9 eggs and only one little duckling survived. This year we have 7 eggs. She's a trooper-she hangs out while the kids swim and make all kinds of ruckus. Anytime she leaves she covers up those eggs with all her down feathers that make up the nest.
Sidney, Jeffry and Lily arrived Friday night for Easter weekend. We started off our Saturday with some egg decorating! We all had so much fun!
Our beautiful works of art!
My little creation. I had so much fun copying this from the Family Fun magazine. After we got the kids tucked into bed downstairs my sister and I got the baskets ready in my room. All I can say is those kids are spoiled! The Easter Bunny was good to them :) The baskets were lined up from youngest at the bottom to oldest at the top! Such a clever bunny :)
Abby was thrilled to get a carrier for her Samantha doll! I just love this picture!
We took Jeffry and Sidney to church with us on Sunday. The boys looked snappy and the girls looked beautiful! There was the annual egg hunt that the kids enjoyed. After church we went home and gathered our food and headed over to the Gallardo's house. We had a delicious potluck dinner with them and the Sheridan's and had huge egg hunt outside. The weather was amazing! Separate post on Easter later :)
The rest of the week was busy! Bible study, gym, Bible House, Heart to Heart... I squeezed in a lunch date with Vicky Otto who I hardly spend time with but love to pieces! We go WAY back to QLBC days! No pic :(
Thursday night was my Haiti Fundraiser night at Chick Fil-A! It went great and I had lots of people come out and show their support. They let me sell the ApParent Project jewelry there and we had the CFA Wheel that my sister ran and raised a bunch of money! It was a great night to have lots of friends under one roof having dinner together. There was a CRAZY storm that night also so I felt the love from all who braved it!
