April Thoughts

March thoughts were out the window with the kids being off track. Oh well, we move on...

Outside my window...beautiful sunshine but bitter cold!

I am thinking...of my dear friend Melissa and her husband Stace who are dealing with cancer. He's home after several weeks in the hospital and waiting for a bone marrow transplant. Praying for a match. Also thinking about our friends Jason and Christina who's 1 1/2 yr old daughter was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. She's the youngest of five. Praying for sweet Emily.

I am thankful for...my health. And the health of all the others in my family.
Thank you God for our health.

From the kitchen...ummmm. Boy would I like to stay something's brewing for dinner but that's just not my reality. It's bean burritos or spaghetti tonight. Whatever sounds good around 5 o'clock.

I am wearing...jeans, a long sleeve shirt under a floral short sleeved hoodie and my Uggs-of course.

I am creating...Easter eggs! Getting it all ready for Saturday. We're going to try some new techniques rather than the same ol dunk in vinegar water style.

I am going...to The GreenHouse later today. Awesome Bible Camp Wed/Th/Fri this week. The kids are going as well. Spring break for them and a neat opportunity for us!

I am reading...not enough. I just don't have time to read. It's what I do on vacation!

I am hoping...to raise enough money for my trip to Haiti in May. Already had a Bunco night and I'm having a fundraiser at CFA next week.

I am hearing...the washing machine and my cat making noises as she lays in a sunny spot by the window. Not much else. It's very quiet.

Around the house...stacks of laundry to put away, homework and school papers covering the kitchen table, babies all lined up and in some kind of "chair" and Easter bunnies, baskets and eggs.

One of my favorite things...my two new Easter decorations. Dee bought me a basket and bunny that were made in Haiti from recycled cement bags. They're all white and paper mache'. I love them!

A few plans for the rest of the week...ABC camp at The GH, LeAnn and the kids here for Easter, Easter  at the Gallardo's, and a whole week with Jeffry, Sidney and Lily here since it's their Spring break. Lots of family time with cousins!
