Fathers Day 2009

Good morning daddy!
Jack gave his daddy his present first thing in the AM. He was so excited! He brought it home from school on Thursday and had to wait till Sunday (that was a long time for Jack)! It was another poem, with a picture of Jack and daddy taken on Open House night and a little scuba dude with Jack's photo head on it. Here's what the poem said:

My dad is 58 years old.
He is as tall as a washing machine
and weighs 30 pounds.
His job is to work at The Bible House.
His favorite food is barbeque chicken,
but he does not like to eat dry stuff.
He likes to go to Las Vegas with his friends,
but he does not like to go to the jungle.
He is really good at playing basketball at the gym,
but he is not good at catching porcupines.
He is scared of them.
He likes to go camping
and go to the mall to see Santa Claus.
He does not like to go to the snow.
My dad is the best dad in the world
because he buys stuff for me.

I love my dad.

Daddy went rafting on the river while we went to church. When he was done he joined us for a BBQ at the Himmelberger's house. He played some baseball with Jack and Drew.

Andrea BBQ'd some awesome tri-tip

Abby looking cute with her yummy watermelon

Jack having fun on the play structure

We had a great time just hanging out with friends and watching the kids play. Andrea and I were going on and on about how amazing our hubby's are. We made dinner for them and they opened their presents that the kids made them at church.
You can barely tell that Abby colored on this little cloth tie.

Eric, you are the best dad for our kids.
They adore you.
I love watching you play with them.
It makes me love you even more.
They know what to expect from you because you are consistent.
I know you would do anything for them.
Thank you for being my partner and best friend.
I love you as big as the sky.
