The girls got to share a skim board with some kids that were at the river. They taught them how to do it and let them play along. I think they had a great time! It was something they had never done before but they caught on pretty quick.

Since Jack's last day of school was a minimum day we decided to head over to the river. It's a beach experience with sand and water without the long drive! We packed a picnic and lots of water and hit the road. It was fun to celebrate the end of his school year and even more special that we got to do it with Brooke and Ashley!The kids always have so much fun playing in the sand, digging and building and of course the water is nice and cool on our hot summer days. They love watching all the boats and jet skiers go by and they usually make new friends and entertain each other. Sometimes I'll bring a magazine or the newspaper and just relax and sometimes I'll get down and dirty in the sand with them.
Mostly, I love to take pictures of them having fun or just watch them and enjoy them. I know
we'll be back many times this summer and one day it'll be on our own boat!
