She thought the backpack was "heavy!"
Abby and her littel bestie, Ellie waiting for their class to open :)
Mommy and Daddy took her for her first day. Normally it will just be mommy.
The teachers have devotions together before school starts. They also pray for each child in their class. Just one of the many reasons we love FBC Preschool! Somebody's very excited!
Abby was pretty excited to start school. Jack has been showing her how it's done her whole life! When he was a 3 year old just starting pre-school at FBC he was in the same Perky Puppies class just like Abby is this year. He also had Mrs. Ibarra as his teacher, just like Abby! I of course requested her because we just loved her. I have since been volunteering with her in Awana so she's my friend as well. Abby was just a baby back then so she's watched her grow up. She was pretty excited to have Abby in her class too!
The teachers had a little scavenger hunt game for the parents to do with their kids. It had things like, go find Miss Laura and have her take your picture, find your cubbie and put your things away. etc.
This is Abby and Ellie right before we left, running circles around the table. Not quite the crying and sadness we expected. haha! Just for a contrast, Jack was clinging to my leg and crying when I tried to leave him for the first day of school. Boy are they different!

I think that's part of the reason their were no tears when we left. Abby actually told me, and I quote, "I want you to go bye bye now mommy." Alrighty then!
We know she's in good hands for the 2 days a week she's there. She'll learn and grow and I'll have some time to catch up with this big ol house and actually get some things done! Oh who am I kidding...I'm looking forward to lunch dates, matinees and kid free shopping! hehe :)

hooray! good job, Abby!
