Jack's First Day of First Grade!

Our handsome boy all ready and on time! He woke up at 7AM sharp and got ready without any trouble. He had a healthy egg breakfast, we took some quick pictures and it was 7:50 before we knew it.
side note: This is the same backpack for 3 going on 4 years running now! He has no interest in a new one? go figure!
He was pretty excited and wanted to start walking. He thinks he can just walk himself to school now. Umm I don't think so!
In first grade you get to sit at your own desk! He's not looking to sure about all this.

Jack started his first day of First Grade today! His teacher is Ms. Van and she seems really nice. Unlike the first day of kindergarden I got to walk him into class and see where he was going to sit and who was sitting next to him. About half of the class are friends from Mrs. Gravert's class so that's nice and familiar.

I didn't get to hear much about his day other than he got 3 reccesses and he thought the day was really long. I think going from half day to full day is going to take some adjusting.

He was happy he got to see the other half of his friends during reccess too. Because he's first on the list due to his last name he got to be the line leader (coveted job) and is the first to get to fill a
lunch bag with things that he likes and bring it to share on Tuesday. It's full of Bakugan's, Transformers and Star Wars Lego men. He's all boy!

We're really looking forward to a great year and we're excited for Back to School night this Thursday!
