Happy 40th Daddy!
Eric decided long before his actual birthday how he wanted to celebrate such a monumental occasion. He kept saying how it was his birthday "month!" and the plan was this:1. Take a family vacation to Disneyland (check)
2. Take a guys trip to Vegas (check)
3. Take a trip to the snow2 out of 3 ain't bad!
Since he left for Vegas on his actual birthday the kids and I saved our celebration with him until when he got back. We bought some "40" stuff from the party store and decorated the house with streamers. The kids got really into it! We also got a yummy ice cream cake and candles that said "40" since forty actual candles would be a little much.
I asked the kids what they wanted to give their daddy for his birthday and Jack said a remote control car and Abby said a Transformer. Since he's not celebrating his "6th" birthday I decided to handle it. I ended up getting him a new wedding band. I was so excited to update his 17 year old ring! (especially since I got an upgrade at 8 years!)
So he went from yellow gold to white gold and bulky and heavy to slim and light! It's perfect! I actually did a swap from a piece of jewelry that Eric bought me years ago so it didn't cost me a dime! Even better! He's was very surprised and likes it a lot.
Happy Birthday Honey! You deserve a birthday month! We all love you so much!
