Our morning was pretty chill thanks to a half furlough day. We didn't have to be to school till 10am. We had picked out clothes the night before and had backpacks ready to go. Abby was so excited to finally go to the same school as her brother! Plus she has his old teacher Mrs. Gravert and we all LOVE her!
Our pretty girl all ready for her first big day!
Taking the long 5 minute walk!
Standing in line by the front door and ready to go in. Just for comparisons sake, Jack was crying and clinging to me on his first day of Kinder. Boy are they different! It's funny because Abby is our shy kid too! And her best friend missed the first three days of school because she was sick. Go figure!
We're so excited for her to start her education at Hein and have a positive experience just like her brother. We're really happy with the school and look forward to seeing Abby reach her full potential!
email from Mrs. Gravert the week before school started:
A Kindergarten Welcome! Dear Families, Kindergarten is a time that children begin a lifetime of learning. It is a year for learning, growing, making friends and lots of fun too! Our days are filled with stories, phonics, reading, writing, math and many other activities. I have an exciting year planned full of opportunities for learning and growing. Abby will meet many new friends in class and my goal is for her to enjoy coming to school each day. I am looking forward to seeing you on Monday, 8/15. Sincerely, Mrs. Gravert |
