The Serpenterium has a party package that includes an hour of handling and learning about all kinds of reptiles in your home. In other words, Jack's version of heaven!
We started off the party with instructions from Jen to listen carefully to directions and the promise to hold lots of cool reptiles!
She started things off with a scorpion! Pretty cool!
Next was a leopard spotted gecko. Ally and Kendall liked him.
Everyone patiently waited their turn.
Jack was so happy :)
Abby said his nails were hurting her so she wanted him on her lap.
Smiley the toad was next and he was a big hit!
He gave Abby a sticky high five!
Speedy the tortoise couldn't wait to get out of his tub. We could see him in there moving all around.
They got to touch the underside of his belly.
And see him retreat in his shell when he was scared.
He was adorable! Sadly he couldn't just be free on the grass to roam around because we use fertilizer :(
Finally the snakes came out!!
Everyone got to have a turn with the corn snake around their neck. Some were all about it and some had to be talked into it!
Jonah loved it!
Nicolas was a little timid but willing.
Riley was excited!
Matt was a little hesitant, but he did it :)
Matthew loved it!
Kendall loved it!
Abby loved it!
Ally loved it!
Robbie was in heaven!
And Ryan was talked into it by his dad and sisters :)
This was the only snake Tracey would hold or even get close to!
The bearded dragon came out next.
Love these!
The ball snake was a big hit considering he was much bigger than the corn snake. Jen showed us how he got his name, he rolls into a big ball.
Jack absolutely loved holding this guy. But everyone needed a turn so it was short.
Abby was such a brave girl! If her brother loves it, she loves it!
Ally and Ryan were a team. He was ok with it if she was there. Such a good big sister!
Aunt Debbie wanted in on the action too!
And Uncle Steve!
