Jack Turns 8!

We started off the day with Jack's birthday donut because it's tradition. He didn't even want it actually. He said he would eat it after school! Silly boy!

Grammy grabbed a quick picture of us all before we walked the kids to school.

I had to make sure his brownie's for the class made it safely!

Jack wanted In N Out for lunch-of course! I asked his teacher if she wanted anything and she accepted! I told her she had to eat with us then :) I ran thru drive thru for the three of us and got extra fries for the other boys that I knew would be joining us! Mr. Lopez had all the kids in the cafeteria sing and Trevor and Darius were cracking up with the mic! We passed out the brownies to his classmates and then they were off to recess!

After school Ellie and Matt came over to hang out with the birthday boy. The girls wanted to swim and the boys wanted to play Legos. Ellie borrowed a bathing suit and they were in heaven!

Daddy came home and we let Jack open his presents. Grammy and Grampy got him clothes and we got him the game Battleship.

We love to read his birthday cards from his baby shower. They were made by my guests for each year until he turns 18! It's always a surprise who wrote it :) It's more of a gift for me :)

Nana drove up from the Bay and we were all expecting to have In N Out for dinner. Since Jack had it for lunch he didn't want it for dinner. So we got our Little Prince his 2nd favorite food, Thai Basil.

I stopped and got an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and we headed for the backyard! It was a beautiful summer evening.

So fun to have family here to celebrate our big guy! I still can't believe he's eight! In ten years he'll be eighteen!

I believe what they say...the days are long but the years are short!
