We attempted soccer 3 years ago when Jack was 4 years old. It was a bust to say the least.
This is what we were dealing with...

Soccer when it's Jack's idea is a lot easier! He loves it and there's no battle's whatsoever! I think our decision to just wait until it was his idea was the right one.
Matthew is one of his teammates as well as a few other boys that he knows from school. Eric is the Asst. Coach and we are already loving being a soccer family!
Our practices are Mondays and Wednesdays with games on Saturdays. Our Head Coach is Matthew's dad Michael. He does a great job and knows a lot about soccer. He's kind of passionate about it!

These pic's are from his first soccer practice. He got right in there and was rolling with the best of them. Most of these boys have played together for 2 years and are pretty good players. Jack has a great attitude and doesn't seem to know he's got some catching up to do!

He seems like a natural of course because he's got his daddy's athletic skills! He almost made a goal in practice and I think he was hooked! That was pretty exciting! He wishes practice was everyday and I sort of do too! He's wiped out and bedtime is a breeze!

Jack had a little group of spectators when they weren't playing on the playground. When it was time for a water break he'd make sure they were watching and ask if they saw what he did out there. They assured him they did :)

The season goes thru November so Jack will have to miss the first 3 months of Awana. We signed up Abby this year so she and I will be at church and Jack and Eric will be on the field. And that will be our fall schedule!
how old is jack in that first picture? love that fiesty little face!
