Disneyland Day 1

Here we are, ready to make the trek down I-5. The car is packed, the kids are excited and we are off!
This is Abby's first trip and Jack's second. Nana hasn't been since she was a kid so we're really traveling with 3 children, she was that excited! The plan was to meet Margaret and Robbie there since our family motto is "the more the merrier!" We went with the whole Weber family on Jack's first trip 2 years ago and we don't really know how to do Disney any other way!

So Cal here we come!
The famous picture in front of the entrance
Two very excited kids!
Jack wanted a picture with Robbie too :)
All the boys decided to start with The Matterhorn. I was a little leery of Jack starting off the day on a big ride in case he was afraid and didn't want to try anything else. Apparently he didn't really like it (all because of the Abominal Snowman) but was ready for something else!

The girls first stop was Toon Town! Here's Abby peaking into Minnie's oven to see what's cookin!
Abby and Mommy having tea in Minnie's House. Thanks Margaret for the iphone pic!
My sweet boy with Mickey Mouse. They caught up with us really fast!
Abby and Robbie posing with Mickey
Giving Mickey a hug. She was a little unsure of him.
The Three Muskateers in Toon Town! Disneyland is all decorated for Christmas but has the beautiful weather to enjoy it!
Jack and Robbie are in the front. It was their 3rd time on this coaster! I went with him one of those times. It was hard to get him to move on to something else he loved it so much! We kept telling him there was such much else to see.
The boys showing their strength!
The Princess Fantasy Faire was our next stop. The wait was about an hour and Eric went over while we were in Toon Town to stand in line for her. Such a sweet daddy :) When he got close to the front of the line he called us and we zipped on over. We did a quick outfit change into her Snow White costume and it was her turn.

Meeting the princesses was pretty magical for Abby. She was overwhelmed at first and was clinging onto me. The first princess she met was Ariel. She immediately asked Abby about her princess dress and shoes and broke the ice. Ariel talked about Flounder and Sebastian and was really sweet. I told her I liked her hair and she told me she did it with a "dinglehopper."
I guess they have to stay in character :)
Abby and Belle
Abby and Sleeping Beauty
After spending about 5 minutes with each princess our time was over. Sadly we didn't get to see Snow White because you never know what princesses are going to be there :(

We hit the gift shop after and passed on the $60-$80 princess dresses and Nana bought the boys swords and shields. They put them to use right away!

Next stop, It's a Small World! My most favorite ride at Disneyland!
I wanted to sit in front of Abby just so I could see her face and get some pictures. I knew she would love it and just be in awe.

Checking out what's up ahead...
She caught me taking pictures of her so she gave me a quick smile :)
The Little Mermaid!
Hula Girls
So much to see...
One of the last things you see at the end of the ride-Peace on Earth
Me and my girl :)
After Small World we went right over to the Buzz Lightyear ride. Abby was not a fan of this ride as you can see. Daddy got into it though!

Jack and Robbie loved it too! So many things to shoot at!
Somewhere in there we went on Thunder Mountain Railroad (no picture) and Jack fell in love! He would tell you that's his favorite ride in the whole park! He rode it back to back and we had to drag him to the next thing! Our last 2 rides of the night were Indiana Jones and the Tikki Room. Since Abby couldn't go on the Indy ride she and I went shopping in the Frontierland shops. We met up with everyone else in the Tikki Room after. Abby refused to be in this picture but everyone had a great time listening to the singing birds!
Aaaaaaand she's done. Poor little girl pooped out while we shopped in the Fantasyland store. It was a very long and exciting day for such a little princess.
Jack was thrilled to look like Anakin Skywalker. I think he looks adorable!
We ended the night on Main Street to watch the fireworks show. I didn't get any good pictures of the fireworks but here is a shot of Nana overwhelmed by the "snow" that falls at the end of the show because of the holidays.
Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle is just magical at night.
We changed the kids into their jammies and headed for the tram back to the parking garage and drove to our hotel. We had the kids in bed within minutes and ourselves too! We needed a good nights rest to do it all over again tomorrow!
