Thanksgiving Parade/Stone Soup

Stone Soup Day at FBC Preschool is a very special occasion. We did it before with Jack so we new to get there early and get a good spot for the parade. All the classes march in the costumes of their class themes.

Here's Mrs. Ibarra leading Abby's Puppies class. We are so thankful for her and Ms. Laura! They are encouraging, sweet, and loving teachers.
Abby was less than thrilled to be in the parade. This is the only picture I got and she was scowling. I thought it was cute that she and Ellie were holding hands. (moral support)
I got a quick pic of her and Ellie before the costumes came off (notice the mood change!)
Had to include a pic of the whole outfit :) Love those apple tights!
Besties to the end!
I tried to get a pic of Jack and Abby and he insisted on touching her head. This really annoyed her and she lost it just after I took this. Brothers! He seems to be enjoying it!
After we picked up Abby from her class we headed into the church for Stone Soup. All week long the kids were bringing veggies to school to contribute to the soup. It smelled so good in the hallways with all those crock pots simmering.

We started off with bread and butter till everyone was seated and ready.
Abby actually likes soup :)
It was really good. Finger lickin good!
We were assigned to eat with the DePaco family so that was fun! Ellie's parents and grandparents were good company. Daddy was there but had to run back to work after a quick bowl of soup.
