17 years

Seventeen years ago I married my best friend. We had hung around in the same circle of friends all through high school and into our college days and youth leadership. Our friendship eventually turned into a special fondness for one another and Eric asked me to marry him on New Years Eve 1992.

We got married on a beautiful Fall day at our home church, Quail Lakes Baptist in Stockton. The air was crisp, the sun was shining brightly, and we had all our friends and family in one spot. I was 22 years old and Eric was 23. When I see pictures from our wedding day I think we look like children! I was so in love! I had nervous butterflies and my heart skipped a beat whenever I was with him. We were meant to be together. I know that for sure. God knew we would be perfect together and He picked Eric for me and me for Eric. 

We waited to start a family for 10 years and just enjoyed each other and traveled as much as we could. The moment we became parents it took our marriage to a whole new level! We became quite a team! Eric was the most hands on dad I ever witnessed and I fell in love with him even more. 

I can't imagine my life with anyone else! He's the love of my life and I look forward to many more years together! I love you honey.
