Fact: I hold a season pass to Disneyland that was burning a hole in my pocket
Fact: Melissa and I had a trip coming our way since our hubbies have been on a few together
Fact: Disneyland isn't just for kids!
Melissa and I decided to throw together a quick trip to The Land for a little getaway. I have never been there during Halloween and Melissa hadn't been in many years without kids. It was an entirely different experience kid-free and we had a blast! Shhhh the kids still don't know that's where I went!
While waiting for Melissa to arrive, I moseyed on over to the park by myself and hoped on my favorite ride, Small World! It was a beautiful day and that ride just makes me happy :)
I loved this lion bushWe saw Mary Poppins! That was a first!
I can't remember the last time I went on Splash Mountain. We've been going to Disneyland in November and March and that's not exactly water ride weather. It was so fun! I can't wait till Jack is brave enough to try it!Yep! Multiple ride multiple times! It's called Fast Pass and we used them a ton!
We hopped over to California Adventure, Melissa had never been. We hit the highlights and braved the crowds. Notice all the red? It was Gay Day so there was a sea of red and it was a very busy day. The World of Color is the new thing and we were both excited to see it that evening. After lots of waiting in line, we were ready for the show!
A Bellagio type water show set to music and laser lights.
They projected scenes from different Disney movies onto the water. It was pretty spectacular!
Oh and there was fire! You could actually feel the heat!
It didn't disappoint! It was amazing and we loved it! We actually saw it twice. Back to back :)
We loved the ease of just getting ourselves ready and no one else.
We loved enjoying our meals and not cutting up anyone else's food.
We loved having uninterrupted conversations.
We loved staying out much later than we could have with the kiddos in tow.
We loved shopping. Kid-free!
We loved that we would be back shortly with our families. Me in a month and Melissa for Thanksgiving!
